NexTraq™ Fleet Mobile is a real time vehicle tracking system that uses GPS (Global Positioning System) technology to provide detailed information on vehicle activity. This system was created specifically for service and delivery companies needing an efficient, cost effective method to manage their fleets. The NexTraq™ Fleet Mobile system converts GPS data into user-friendly maps and reports, accessible via the internet. No software is required, simply login using any PC with Internet Explorer and instantly access your data. The NexTraq NexTraq™ Fleet Mobile system requires no driver interaction so the system is less likely to be influenced by driver error or tampering. Since the NexTraq™ Fleet Mobile vehicle tracking system is wired to the vehicles power supply, management knows how vehicles are being used. Compare this system to GPS enabled cell phones (Nextel GPS phones) and other systems easily accessed by the driver. The NexTraq™ Fleet Mobile real time GPS system also provides free and unlimited email alerts to. Version 6, customizable reports in MS Excel, will be emailed as attachments on a scheduled basis to reduce time spent generating reports. |
By combining the NexTraq™ Fleet Mobile system with the MOBITEX network, data is routed to a central server, accessible by the user. The MOBITEX network towers, owned by Velocita Wireless, have a different coverage footprint than the cell phone network. Because the MOBITEX network is dedicated solely to mobile wireless data, there are no delays due to congestion. Voice networks (CDPD, iDen, GPRS) carrying GPS data often suffer from congestion during peak hours of cell phone activity, delaying the transfer of GPS tracking data. Networks like iDen from Nextel suffer even greater issues because they share bandwidth between cell phones, radios and data. With a standard 5-minute update, NexTraq™ Fleet Mobile delivers the right amount of information at a fixed monthly rate without network delays.
The NexTraq™ Fleet Mobile application provides various features and functionality to aid managers and owners of fleets to maximize operational efficiency without significant capital expense. Functions included in NexTraq™ Fleet Mobile are the ability to locate and find a single vehicle, a fleet of vehicles, and the closest mobile(s) to a particular location’s address. The vehicle’s location is updated every 5 minutes and can be seen in real-time as well as a historical track or “bread-crumb” trail for the day or in the past 3 months. Outside of the graphical representation of data, there are reports that are generated in the application for beginning to end of day, starts and stops, speed, as well as a detailed activity for that vehicle. Lastly, NexTraq™ Fleet Mobile was designed for notifications of occurrences to allow remote monitoring of the fleet. The manager can configure e-mail alerts for when vehicles travel in and out of zones, over a certain speed threshold, within a particular saved location, and even the first movement of the day. With NexTraq™ Fleet Mobile, owners and managers can be in control of their mobile workforce, reduce operating expenditures, and increase customer service.
